Industrial Trainee- Automation Support

Responsibilities
Position Summary
We are looking for a software engineering or computer science student to join us as an Intern supporting the digitalization and automation of engineering and business workflows. You will work closely with our Automation Engineer on projects involving the Microsoft Power Platform, VBA scripting, and the setup of our new document management system.
This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your coding, scripting, and data handling skills in a real-world engineering environment—and make a tangible impact by helping us streamline and standardize how we work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineering Automation
- Support the development of engineering automation tools in our engineering database for document generation, and data reporting.
- Assist in creating and improving scripts and macros using VBA, MS Office Scripts, and Power Automate.
- Help document tools and ensure they are accessible and user-friendly for internal users.
2. Microsoft Power Platform Support
- Contribute to the development of apps and workflows using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Assist in standardizing business workflows for internal processes (e.g., requests, approvals, data reporting).
- Test and validate Power Platform solutions and gather feedback from stakeholders.
3. Engineering Document Management
- Support the implementation of our new document management system.
- Help in data migration, folder structure setup, metadata definition, and user testing.
- Organize and classify technical documentation to ensure project readiness and version control.
4. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Automation Engineer and wider team to understand project and process requirements.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to workflow design, system improvements, and tool usability.

Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For?
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Strong foundation in programming/scripting (e.g., VBA, Python, Power Platform, or similar).
- Interest in business process automation, system integration, and document management tools.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and comfortable working in structured environments.
- Bonus: Familiarity with engineering processes or plant design tools is an advantage, but not required.
