Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Buyer to manage procurement activities related to technical and engineering items. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Responsibilities : 1) Source and purchase technical components, spare parts, and machinery-related items based on the company’s requirements. 2) Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, and reliability. 3) Review and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and bill of materials (BOM). 4) Liaise with engineering, production, and maintenance departments to understand purchasing needs. 5) Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods. 6) Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers. 7) Monitor supplier performance and maintain a qualified supplier list. 8) Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice mismatches. 9) Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier communications. 10) Continuously evaluate cost-saving opportunities and support procurement process improvement Requirements and Skills : 1) Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 2) Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a technical/engineering procurement role. 3) Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical components and technical drawings. 4) Good negotiation and communication skills. 5) Able to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 6) Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP is a plus). 7) Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
