Assisting in the food preparation process, which includes washing, peeling and chopping vegetables and fruits, cutting of different meats and fish/seafood, as well as measuring and preparing ingredients - Preparing basic dishes, side dishes and elements of dishes as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef - Plating and presenting meal items as per the Sous Chef’s or Head Chef’s instructions - Unpacking and organizing deliveries, including proper storage of food items to prevent spoilage - Adhering to kitchen and food hygiene standards by cleaning of work stations and storage facilities, as well as discarding all expired and spoiled food items in the store rooms, refrigerators and freezers. - Monitor kitchen equipment and report issues to superiors - Contributing to maintaining kitchen safety standards by cleaning up kitchen spills to prevent accidents and injuries
