We are looking to hire a Market Analyst in Penang, Malaysia, to join our expanding global team. The Impact: As a Market Analyst specializing in clean energy technologies and supply chains, you will shape critical business decisions for a diverse client base—from established global energy companies to emerging technology startups. Responsibilities:
- We seek a candidate with established knowledge and a keen interest in the renewable energy sector, ideally with prior experience in a research analyst role.
- In this role, you will collect and maintain up-to-date information on projects, policies, raw materials, manufacturing, logistics, and other critical supply chain data, continuously improving our proprietary databases for both internal and external use.
- You will identify market trends, policy changes, and stakeholder activities relevant to clean energy technology and supply chain developments, synthesizing complex information into clear, data-driven reports and research papers.
- You will also collaborate closely with colleagues in different regions, aligning methodologies and analytical approaches while contributing to broader thought leadership initiatives such as webinars, workshops, and executive briefings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated interest or background in clean energy technologies or energy-related supply chains (academic, professional, or research-based).
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data handling, including Excel or equivalent tools, with the ability to analyze large datasets and discern market signals and trends.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data and conclusions clearly to diverse audiences.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; Mandarin Chinese language skills are a significant advantage.
- Collaboration: Aptitude for working in a geographically dispersed team, adapting to different cultural norms, and aligning work with shared objectives.
- Technical & Economic Literacy: Ability to understand both the technical underpinnings of clean energy solutions and the economic factors driving market shifts.
