The MBES Processor is responsible for processing and quality control of Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) data acquired during offshore survey operations. The role involves transforming raw bathymetric data into deliverable products that meet industry and client-specific standards, supporting engineering and environmental assessments in offshore oil & gas operations. Key Responsibilities Data Processing & QC -Process raw MBES data using industry-standard software (e.g., CARIS, Qimera, Hypack, Fledermaus, etc.). -Apply tidal corrections, sound velocity profiles, and navigation adjustments. -Conduct data cleaning, filtering, and error checking to ensure high data quality. -Ensure processed data adheres to client and project-specific specifications. Data Management & Reporting -Organize and manage large volumes of geospatial and hydrographic data. -Produce detailed processing logs and reports, including metadata documentation. -Support generation of final survey deliverables (charts, reports, 3D visualizations). -Assist in drafting and reviewing field reports for submission to clients. Collaboration & Support -Work closely with offshore survey teams, data processors, and project managers. -Provide remote or on-site processing support when required. -Assist in troubleshooting equipment and software-related issues. -Maintain best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows. Requirements 1. Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Hydrography, Geomatics, Geophysics, Surveying, or a related field. 2. Experience : Minimum 2–3 years of experience in MBES data processing within the offshore oil & gas sector 3. Skills & Competencies: -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -High attention to detail and data accuracy. -Excellent communication and reporting skills. -Willingness to travel offshore as required.
