Job Responsibilities 1. Responsible in the day-to-day running of the assigned Pharmacy service, ensuring smooth operation and delivery of quality service in compliance with applicable policies, guidelines, and accreditation standards. 2. Ensure all regulatory requirements pertaining to pharmacy practice are complied with, including record keeping and supply of narcotics. 3. Ensure delivery of excellent customer service for the assigned Pharmacy service, including managing customer complaints in a timely and effective manner until all issues related to complaints are resolved. 4. Ensure pharmacy inventory is managed in compliance to inventory and security controls, while ensuring adequate medication supply and minimizing wastages. 5. Oversee supervision of pharmacy staff and the daily review of staff roster as needed to maximize the productivity, thus maintaining smooth operation at the Pharmacy. 6. Provide guidance, monitors, and evaluates the work performances of Pharmacy staff under his/her supervision. 7. Assist the Chief Pharmacist in formulation, implementation and on-going review of quality initiatives and compliance to work standards to ensure medication safety and improved efficiency of work processes. 8. Ensure that the planning of activities for the assigned pharmacy service is aligned with clinical, quality and business objectives of the department and hospital. Job Requirements: 1. Registered with Pharmacy Board of Malaysia. 2. Possess a Poison Type A License for purchasing of Controlled Medicines. 3. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills. 4. Customer service oriented and able to form and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, medical staffs and patients. 5. Competent in medication and quality management skills. 6. Demonstrates good analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills. 7. Ability to drive and implement change. 8. Ability to plan, assign and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy staff engaged in the provision of pharmacy services. 9. Ability to coach and mentor staff. 10. Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience, with exposure to inpatient pharmacy services.
