Job Description:

The Procurement Assistant supports the purchasing team in sourcing, ordering, and tracking goods and services for the organization. This entry-level role helps maintain inventory levels, ensures timely deliveries, and assists in maintaining accurate procurement records and supplier communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing purchase orders and obtaining necessary approvals
  • Source for quotations from vendors and compare pricing, terms, and delivery times
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and invoices
  • Maintain and update records of purchases, pricing, and inventory in the procurement system
  • Liaise with internal departments to clarify purchase requests and delivery requirements
  • Help evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to the procurement team
  • Assist with filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
