Job Description:
The Procurement Assistant supports the purchasing team in sourcing, ordering, and tracking goods and services for the organization. This entry-level role helps maintain inventory levels, ensures timely deliveries, and assists in maintaining accurate procurement records and supplier communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing purchase orders and obtaining necessary approvals
- Source for quotations from vendors and compare pricing, terms, and delivery times
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and invoices
- Maintain and update records of purchases, pricing, and inventory in the procurement system
- Liaise with internal departments to clarify purchase requests and delivery requirements
- Help evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to the procurement team
- Assist with filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
