Jr. Chemist

Job Description: • To test and meet the required quality standard for all incoming paint Raw material (RM) and Finished goods. • Plan, conduct and direct the research to develop innovative profitable new 3 coat system products for industrial markets. • Development of new product/colour as per the customer’s specification. • Develop and test new ideas directed at improving coatings properties to add value through improved performance, ability to meet regulatory requirements, reduced cost or improved efficiency in manufacturing or application. • Comply with all requirements for laboratory quality and safety certification. • To conduct studies/research and benchmark on co-producer sample. • Perform testing on formulations, establishing Quality ranges and new raw material qualifications, as required. • Works closely with Manufacturing Technology, Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing. Interact with customers. • Test replacement or new raw materials and accept or reject based on internal results. Provide pricing and lead time, address safety and transportation concerns, evaluate if new material can replace the existing one. • Product and process development, innovation, and commercialization in coating technologies. Requirement: • Degree in Chemical Engineering. • Must have 2 - 3 years working experience related to paint. • Responsible for Lab application testing, external testing relationships, and support of customer inquiries. • Required to interact closely with customers to commercialize the new products and to identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships for the BL long term growth.
