Main Duties & Responsibilities General o Reads the logbook daily and take action accordingly o Provides information regarding the hotel’s facilities & services o Ensures to always be informed of VIP in-house and daily functions o Handles guest complaints in accordance with service recovery guidelines o Be knowledgeable of Food Safety & Hygiene Standards Executive Lounge o Order Executive Lounge food & beverage inventory using the system o Requisition for service ware, utensil, linens, buffet set-up o Be knowledgeable on Food & Beverage offerings and pairing o Practice proper food handling procedures o Performing the set up for breakfast/afternoon tea/evening hour o Monitoring and recording of guests who enter and utilize the Executive Lounge o Maintaining “clean as you go policy” o Taking good care of the guest and being sure to maintain the cleanliness of their table o To oversee all business facilities and ensure that equipment is maintained in the Executive Lounge meeting room o To ensure that all Guests receive personal service to the highest degree of courtesy and to be informed of the hotel’s facilities o Adhere to all hygiene standards whilst completing necessary forms and returning them to designated departments o Conducting side duties: cleaning the kitchen, refilling sugar bowls and polishing all the silver ware etc o To be knowledgeable about Onyx Rewards Front Desk o Greet guests and addresses guests by name o Register guest and assign rooms. Accommodates special request whenever possible o Assist in pre-registration and blocking rooms for reservations o Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit and cash handling procedures o Understands room status and room status tracking o Knows room location, types of rooms available and room rates o Must be sales-minded, presents options and alternatives to guests and offer assistance in making choices o Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel o Assigns rooms and checks in/out guests in accordance with established standards o Process guest check-outs o Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest account, paid outs and currency exchange o Reports any unusual occurrences or request to the manager or assistant manager o Knows all safety and emergency procedures o Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
