Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook authentic Chettinad dishes with consistency and quality • Develop and update Chettinad menu items based on seasonal availability and customer preferences • Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are strictly followed • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Chettinad cooking techniques • Manage kitchen inventory and ensure proper stock levels of key ingredients like spices, meats, and herbs • Collaborate with the head chef and management to plan menus and promotional offerings • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times • Ensure timely food preparation and service during peak hours Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Chettinad Chef or South Indian cuisine specialist • Deep understanding of traditional Chettinad ingredients, spices, and cooking methods • Ability to balance bold flavors with authenticity and modern presentation • Strong leadership and time-management skills • Culinary certification is a plus but not mandatory • Good communication skills and team spirit • Knowledge of food cost management and kitchen operations Preferred: • Experience working in a high-end South Indian restaurant or hotel • Exposure to regional and fusion styles within Indian cuisine
