Key Role: Manage and direct nursing care activities and coordinate care planning with other disciplines. Participate in routine operation / department meetings. Direct and coordinate infection control programs, advising and consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions. Participate in the development of policies. Implementing nursing care and procedure. Communicate and maintain good interpersonal relationship with all the departments. Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures. Coordinate the daily equipment maintenance procedure and quality control to ensure the equipment is in the best operation condition. To ensure the medical reports and all other documents are filed and kept properly. Actively participate in events / corporate social responsibility (CSR) organized by the company. Other duties as assigned. Duties & Responsibility: Procedure / Treatment :- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to access, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plan. Maintain accurate, detailed report and records. Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients; condition. Prepare patients for, and assist with , examination and treatment. Perform appropriate treatment / procedure as ordered by doctor / specialist in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensure stock of supplies are adequate and well maintained. Record patients' medical information and vital signs. To dispense and administer medication including injectable as per doctor's prescription / order. Conduct specified blood / urine tests, assist in phlebotomy and drip setting. Direct and supervise less skilled nursing / health care personnel. Promote health education to patients and their families. Dispense medication and document the medication given in the system. Manage pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to adult resuscitation protocols. Put in requisition for necessary equipment for repair and maintenance when needed. Duties as Operating Theatre Nurse: Prepare operation room with specific equipment, sterile drapes, sterile and supplies based on the surgeon's request. Prepare the patient preoperatively and check vital signs. Update the whiteboard with the appropriate information regarding the operation (Eg: Patient's details, type of operation / procedure, surgeon in charge, scrub nurse, and the runner). Verify patient identification; patients understanding of planned procedure by signing the consent form; correct procedure site and supplies; allergies before proceeding with planned procedure. Assist the surgeon in operation by providing instruments and consumable supplies. Maintain patient's safety throughout the operation. Monitor regular Operation Theatre schedule and inventories, as well as maintaining good surgical instrument control. Observe patient during Surgical Operations / procedures. Maintain patient's record and report patient's progress. Practice strict aseptic technique. Sterilise all used instrument and equipment. Safety transfer the patient to and from Operation Room. Observe the patient post-operatively and record the vital signs. Administer medication as per surgeon's instruction. Duties as Health Screening Nurse: Take blood for blood test as ordered by the doctor or requested by the client. Take vital signs (Temperature, Blood pressure, Pulse, Respiratory rate). Obtain the patient's weight, height and body composition. Perform procedures such as ECG, eye examination, hearing assessment, lung function test and any other nursing procedures in the package. Assist the doctor in physical examination and Pap smear as well as consultations. Assist the doctor or medical laboratory technician with health screening tests. Print and compile medical reports. Coordinate the patient's check-up flow. Dispense medication including injectables. Follow-up with appointments for test procedure, consultation etc. Assist the doctor in managing the referral letters. Assists in ‘code blue’ emergency cases. Maintain patient's medical records. Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Nursing. Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board. Valid Annual Practicing Certificate from Malaysia nursing Board. Requirements: Computer literate. Preferably with more than 1 year working experience in clinic environment and 3 years working experience in the Operation Theatre. Post Basic qualifications in the Operation Theatre (General / Plastic Surgery) and perioperative course. Able to work independently as well as possess good teamwork. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Must be willing to be deployed to the company's respective locations.
