Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate commissioning activities across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process, etc.) Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, and schedules Ensure all commissioning activities comply with local regulations (DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, etc.), client specifications, and international standards (e.g., IEC, API) Supervise and guide commissioning teams, contractors, and vendors on-site Interface with construction, quality, HSE, and operations teams to ensure readiness for commissioning Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning inspections, functional tests, and performance verifications Manage system handover processes, documentation (such as MC/Pre-commissioning/Commissioning dossiers), and punch list clearance Ensure all systems are commissioned safely, meet design intent, and are handed over in operable condition Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support during startup Provide regular reporting to management and clients on commissioning progress, risks, and milestones Ensure all personnel involved in commissioning follow HSE policies and procedures, and promote a strong safety culture Requirements Education & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) Valid professional registration with BEM or relevant Malaysian bodies (preferable) Additional certifications in commissioning, HSE, or project management are an advantage Experience Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commissioning, including at least 3 years in a lead/supervisory role Proven track record in large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects (e.g., oil & gas, power plant, water treatment, etc.) Familiarity with commissioning tools and methodologies (e.g., system turnover, RFSU) Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills Knowledge of local and international standards (DOSH, CIDB, ISO, IEC, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using commissioning management software and MS Office Suite Able to work under pressure, in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments
