
Distribution Center Assistant
Job Overview:
To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the distribution center by performing a range of tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. The role also supports inventory control and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Unload products from trucks and check if everything is correct and undamaged.
· Organize products in the warehouse and keep track of stock levels.
· Pick the right products for orders and pack them carefully.
· Prepare orders for shipment and make sure they are sent out on time.
· Record details of received and shipped products and update inventory.
· Follow safety rules and use equipment correctly to avoid accidents.
· Keep the warehouse clean and assist in any other tasks to help the team.
· Any other related tasks that might be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks, such as standing, bending, and walking for long periods.
· Ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and shipping orders.
· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with basic computer skills.
· Able to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
· Understanding of safety practices and protocols within a warehouse environment.
· Knowledge of operating warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
Educational Background:
· No specific educational requirements, certification in forklift operation will be beneficial.
