JOB SUMMARY

This executive-level position, based at the Sarawak Campus, is responsible for supporting the effective operation and optimisation of key digital platforms, primarily SharePoint and Canvas. Under the direction of the Manager of the IT Unit, the role focuses on ensuring the reliability, usability, and performance of these platforms to support academic and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the SharePoint and Canvas platforms remain consistently operational and performing at optimal levels.
  • Provide technical support to users, assisting with navigation, access issues, and troubleshooting platform-related problems.
  • Assist users in managing and maintaining content on SharePoint (e.g., document libraries, lists, workflows) and Canvas (e.g., course modules, assessments).
  • Administer user roles, access rights, and permissions to ensure secure and efficient use of both platforms.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to SharePoint workflows, permissions, and configuration, as well as Canvas-related concerns such as course setup and gradebook management.
  • Generate regular reports on system usage, platform performance, and user engagement across both SharePoint and Canvas.
  • Deliver user training sessions and develop documentation to help users maximise platform functionality

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT) or other related discipline from a recognised institution
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in the areas of operation support.
  • Master’s degree holder in a relevant discipline can be considered
  • Proven experience in managing, configuring, and supporting SharePoint Online. Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues for both platforms.
  • Solid understanding of managing user roles, access permissions, and secure content sharing within SharePoint and Canvas platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in providing end-user support, including troubleshooting technical issues and assisting users with platform functionality.
  • Proven track record in delivering application support for SharePoint, Canvas LMS, or similar learning and content management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to generate reports on platform usage, system performance, and user engagement using built-in tools or external reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
