Senior SAP BW Technical Analyst

As part of the SAP Applications team, the BW Technical Analyst is responsible for the development, testing and support of BW technical objects/programs to meet the operational needs of Harvey Norman group of companies in South-East Asia. He/she is expected to participate in testing activities, resolve system defects and provide support of the production environment. The candidate should expect to be on stand-by occasionally to support critical system issues and attend to any other reasonable duties as directed by his immediate supervisor and/or the Head of IT. Responsibilities: • Perform complex analysis and configuration of the BW/BI data environment to facilitate custom reporting and data analytics solutions specifically for IS-Retail. • Worked extensively on performance optimization. • Ability to conceive, design, testing and implement BW programs and issue resolution. • Resourceful and analytical allowing for effective problem solving. • Collaborating with other consultants, developers, and analysts to deliver integrated solutions. Essential Requirements: • Over 5 years of experience in consulting, product development, and support. • Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools. • Strong proficiency in data modelling, including the design and implementation of complex data models. • Expertise in ETL processes and tools, including extractor enhancements and report creation from InfoProviders. • Sound knowledge of SAP HANA, covering data provisioning, modelling and reporting. • Skilled in ABAP development for custom enhancements and debugging. • Proficient in backend design and development, including ODS, transactional data, InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources/DataSources, master data, transfer rules, user exits, and update rules. • Able to define and optimise ETL processes; experienced with BI 7.x, SAP Portal 7.x, ECC, and SAP BW performance tools such as BI Accelerator, OLAP Cache, and BI Cockpit. • Experienced in reporting using SAP BusinessObjects, BEx Analyzer, and other BI tools. • Added advantage: Proficient in SAP PI/PO, with a strong grasp of its architecture, integration tools (Adapter Engines, Mapping Tools), EDI, IDoc, and XML standards. Familiar with web services, SOA principles, and basic Java programming.
