Key Responsibilities:
Safety Program Implementation
- Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans and programs.
- Conduct site safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Risk Assessment
- Perform regular risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA) to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure all safety measures are in place before starting any work activity.
Safety Training and Awareness
- Conduct safety inductions and training sessions for new employees and subcontractors.
- Provide ongoing safety training on topics such as proper use of equipment, PPE (personal protective equipment), fall protection, etc.
- Ensure all workers are familiar with emergency procedures, such as fire drills and evacuation plans.
Monitoring and Enforcement
- Monitor site activities to ensure safety procedures are being followed.
- Enforce the proper use of PPE, safe work practices, and equipment.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Issue warnings or stop work orders when unsafe practices are observed.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and submit reports on safety performance and improvements.
- Ensure all safety-related documentation is up-to-date and readily available for review by management and regulatory authorities.
Collaboration
- Work closely with site managers, project engineers, and contractors to address safety concerns.
- Promote a culture of safety and lead by example to encourage employees to prioritize safety.
Requirements:
- Possess Yellow Book registered with Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH)
- Possess a bachelor Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health.
- 1-2 years experience in construction site work.
- Possess own transport, willing to travel and relocate.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
