- Ensure daily site operations comply with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994, FMA 1967, and other relevant Malaysian regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and hazard identification; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor high-risk activities (e.g., lifting, work at height, scaffolding, confined spaces).
- Assist in preparing and updating safety documents such as HIRARC, SWP, and Emergency Response Plans.
- Conduct site safety inductions and regular toolbox talks for workers and subcontractors.
- Report and investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; recommend improvements.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities (e.g., DOSH, CIDB) on safety-related matters.
- Keep accurate records of safety reports, inspection findings, and training attendance.
- Support the Safety & Health Officer (SHO) in implementing the project’s overall HSE plan.
Job Requirements
- Certificate of Site Safety Supervisor from NIOSH Malaysia.
- Registered with DOSH Malaysia (JKKP Reg No. required).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
- Familiar with Malaysian construction site safety standards and safety documentation.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a strong presence on-site.
