Health safety and Environment Cadetship

This will be a 6-month rigorous program for Fresh Graduates of Safety and Health and will be developed on: 1. To provide assistance in handling, managing, and overseeing all aspects and matters related to Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) to ensure smooth and effective compliance with company policies and objectives. 2. To assist in ensuring that all operations and activities within the organization are conducted in full compliance with all applicable laws, standards, regulations, and legal requirements as outlined by relevant authorities. 3. To assist in liaising with various government authorities and agencies such as the Department of Environment (DOE), Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (BOMBA), and other regulatory bodies. 4. Handle other health and safety concerns accordance with Occupational Safety And Health Act 1994 and Regulations, also that related with Industrial and Machinery Act 1967 (Act 139) and Regulation and Orders. 5. To assist in the effective management, documentation, and proper disposal of scheduled waste in accordance with legal guidelines, regulations. 6. Assist in ensuring that all permits, licenses, and certifications for plant machinery and equipment remain valid, up-to-date, and in compliance with legal and operational requirements, while assisting in periodic reviews and renewals. 7. To assist in the proper handling, distribution, and monitoring of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure its appropriate usage, availability, and compliance. 8. To assist towards the development, proposal, and implementation of comprehensive yearly Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, initiatives, and training sessions. 9. To assist in the preparation, compilation, and submission of detailed reports, as well as in the continuous monitoring, evaluation, and analysis of EHS performance monitoring. 10. Monitoring and controlling wastewater treatment processes, including flow rates, chemical used , and equipment performance. 10. Adjusting treatment processes to maintain compliance with discharge permits. 11. Operating and maintaining equipment like pumps, filters, filter press and tanks. 12. Collecting wastewater samples from water discharge points in the treatment process for laboratory analysis. 13. Performing routine maintenance tasks on treatment plant equipment, including cleaning, lubrication and inspections. 14. Coordinating repairs with maintenance technicians that related to safety and environmental matters 15. Maintaining detailed logs of plant operations, including flow rates, chemical usage and equipment readings 16. Updating IETS Daily Report Keeping including chemical usage, discharge reading and incoming water 17. Generating reports on treatment plant performance and compliance with regulatory standards. 18. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of company’s overall safety program. 19. Keep abreast with new development in the field of accident prevention, personal protective equipment and emergency response procedures. 20. Maintenance of an efficient accident record system. 21. Provides resources and training opportunities for all personnel to facilitate completion of assigned in a safe work environment consistent with test requirements and personnel capabilities. 22. Perform other duties assigned by superior. Requirements 1. Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent. 2. Fresh graduates in the related field are welcome to apply. 3. Candidate with experience in safety audit is an added advantage. 4. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and computer literature. 5. Good verbal and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English. 6. Good communication, team oriented, flexible and with initiative with department head. 7. Applicants must be willing to work in Pusing, Perak. 8. One (1) position available.
