Unleash your Potential We are looking for a Vision Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and deployment of vision applications for semiconductor quality inspection, integrated into Cohu machines. Impact You Will Make Understand Cohu customers’ vision inspection requirement and defect criteria, perform engineering assessment, and conduct Feasibility Studies for validation pre- and post-RFQs Possess good troubleshooting skills, analytical, creative think out of the box, and systemic driven Lead technical improvement on all products in line with a customer-based approach Support new development and transfer projects from Vision R&D Engineering Ensure good sustaining and continuous improvement of released products Perform continuous improvement on design rules, vision checklist, processes, and training Enhance deliverables systemic quality (description, instructions, controls, full systems) handed to operations and service team Lead harmonization of products and processes within the department Continuous product improvement through standardization and enhanced manufacturability Possess a good understanding of vision hardware capabilities and integration Work closely with the vision software development team and Application team to perform tests and qualification of new applications developed Perform qualification tests on applications and modules developed by Vision R&D Engineering Provide vision system application solutions, and features and conduct training to customers, the Vision Integrator team, and the Field support team Support customer escalation issues with the Technical Support team and deploy necessary solutions/resources Moderate to high traveling will be required globally. Flexibility for travel required when needed Our Ideal Candidate Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from a recognized school, university, or technical program; related to Computer Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering, or any related engineering field. Experience with image processing applications is mandatory. Minimum 3 years working experience in related field is required. Must be able to clearly speak and write in English with good oral and written communication skills. In-depth product knowledge and industry experience. Sharp problem-solving skills and self-motivation. Extensive knowledge of camera, optics, and lighting. Dedicated and able to handle various projects Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere. Moderate to high traveling will be required for both domestic and international. Added advantage with Automation, artificial intelligence, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or mechanical drawing skills Why Join Us?
