MINING ENGINEER

Mining Engineer Responsibilities: • Ensure that underground resources such as minerals, metals etc. are extracted safely and efficiently. • To evaluate, plan and oversee the construction of mine site and specifies the processes, labour usage and equipment that will be required to extract minerals and ores from the earth. • To coordinate with geologists and conduct feasibility studies, mine design, operational planning, development of processes ad to ascertain extraction risks. • Conduct sub-surface surveys to identify the characteristics of potential mining sites. • Investigate mineral deposits and working with geologists to evaluate and analyse profitability of the site if mined. • To plan, develop and implement extraction systems. • To use with the HSE team for the design, implement and coordinate in mine safety programs. • To ensure all the related safety SOP and Company policies are strictly adhered to. • Ensure site operations are in compliance with health, safety and environment requirements and regulations. • Be involve in the mine closure activities which include final land restoration after the mining operations have concluded. • Maintain proper records of activities carried out. • Data collection using drones and related data processing and prepare monthly report for the management. • Monitor mining operations in detail such as machine arrangements, drilling and blasting processes, plant operations etc. • Provide technical advice and support in the mining operations, processing plant and geologist team regarding overall mining plan. • To work closely with other professionals engaged / working in the entire mining operations for an effective smooth execution of daily production activities at site. • Ensure confidentiality of all information in particular matters related to the Company and to handle such confidential information with utmost discretion. • To perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior and or the Management from time to time. Requirements: • Must possess a Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mining/Mineral/metallurgy) or any related field • Minimum 2 years working experience in Mining Engineering • Proficient in Geovia Surpac, Microsoft Office, QGIS • Experience in operating drones and related equipment • Ability to work under pressure/overtime to meet deadlines. • Articulate, strategic thinking, good problems solving skills • Able to cope with the physical demands of the job • Possess a high level of integrity, initiative, drive, commitment, and a sense of urgency Additional information: • Meals and/ or accommodation are provided at the site • Work location: Bukit Besi, Dungun, Terengganu Mengapur, Maran, Pahang
