Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor quality control processes for materials, fabrication, and installation works in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards such as ISO 9001, ASME, API, MS, and other applicable local/international regulations. Review and verify Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Material Inspection Reports (MIR), and Work Inspection Requests (WIR). Conduct site inspections, audits, and testing of materials and workmanship to ensure conformity. Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve quality issues. Prepare and maintain quality documentation including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CARs (Corrective Action Reports), QA/QC reports, and handover dossiers. Liaise with DOSH, CIDB, and relevant local authorities on matters concerning quality compliance and inspection requirements. Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findings. Assist in developing and implementing project-specific Quality Plans and Procedures. Provide technical guidance and training to site teams on quality standards and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3–6 years of relevant QC experience in construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectors. Good knowledge of Malaysian and international codes and standards (e.g., MS, ISO, API, ASME, AWS). Familiar with quality assurance and control tools, methods, and documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and quality management systems (QMS). Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written). Willing to travel and work at project sites, including remote locations. Preferred Certifications / Competencies: CIDB Green Card – Mandatory ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification – Preferred CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent (for welding-based industries) – Advantageous NDT Level II (RT, UT, PT, MT) – Optional but beneficial Knowledge of DOSH requirements and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994.
