Lead Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities: *Lead and manage civil engineering design and project implementation from inception to completion. *Ensure all engineering activities are compliant with Malaysian standards (MS), Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) specifications, and local authorities’ requirements. *Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution. *Review and approve design drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents. *Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and risk assessments. *Liaise with local authorities including CIDB, DOSH, and DBKL or other relevant councils for approvals and inspections. *Ensure project milestones, quality standards, budgets, and safety guidelines (based on OSH regulations) are achieved. *Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior engineers and site personnel. *Prepare progress reports, variation orders, and engineering documentation as required. *Resolve engineering issues and provide innovative, cost-effective solutions. Requirements: *Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university. *Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) – mandatory. *Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in infrastructure or large-scale construction projects in Malaysia. *Strong knowledge of Malaysian Standard (MS) codes, JKR requirements, CIDB regulations, and other local statutory bodies. *Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, Microsoft Project, and other related tools. *Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills. *Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written). *Willingness to travel and be based at project sites when required. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent (advantageous). Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) status – added advantage. Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
