Key Responsibilities:
- Turnaround Planning & Preparation:
- Develop comprehensive turnaround plans including scope, schedule, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments and vendors for scope definition and logistics.
- Prepare and maintain turnaround master schedules using planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Execution Oversight:
- Lead and monitor on-site turnaround execution, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and time objectives.
- Conduct daily progress reviews, resource allocation, and site coordination meetings.
- Contractor Management:
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure work progress aligns with turnaround plans.
- Monitor contractor performance and resolve any delays or issues.
- Technical Review & Inspection:
- Review inspection reports and ensure corrective actions are carried out.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA/QC, and HSE teams to validate technical compliance.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Assist in estimating turnaround budgets and control expenditures during execution.
- Report cost deviations and propose value engineering or efficiency improvements.
- Post-Turnaround Review:
- Lead post-mortem analysis and compile turnaround reports including lessons learned.
- Recommend process improvements for future shutdowns or maintenance events.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all activities comply with statutory, client, and internal safety regulations.
- Maintain all records, reports, and documentation related to turnaround activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in turnaround/shutdown management in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial plants.
- Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of plant operations, piping, static equipment, and process safety.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Willing to travel or work on-site during plant shutdowns.
