About the team and role
Fraud Products and Engineering Teams
The team provides Fraud and compliance services to customers in the region. Working directly with SMEs, large enterprises, and through the partner channel we serve solutions for public and private cloud, and local installations
The Role - Head of Technology & Product - Fraud
Reporting to the General Manager Global Fraud, your ultimate goal is to lead and drive the technology and product teams, to grow and support the regional business using technology and systems. You will also provide thought leadership as well as functional leadership on the use of technology in supporting the company’s regional growth plans. Motivating and leading a growing and talented regional team, to provide support for developing the targets in a collaborative, culture aligned way across the region. Finally, you will also play a key role in building a strong collaborative culture across the business, cross functionally working with the senior leaders to achieve this.
What you will do
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development of the Technology & Product team members and be a role model of the GBG core behaviours and cultural ways of working
- Lead and guide the culture of both your team and play a key role across the KL office, driving for alignment across the teams against the strategic priorities
- Lead all aspects (delivery, project governance etc) of our technological development and the product roadmap
- Accountable for successful & on time delivery of all the technology initiatives aligned with Fraud priorities
- Ensure financial targets and other agreed targets are met in the technology and fraud teams.
- Coach and guide leaders and senior team members of the Technology & Product team in Asia to help them continually improve their skills and become better
- Drive and manage a technical roadmap delivering continuous technical improvements whilst encouraging others in the team to do the same
- Provide technical input in pre-sales activities for high value deals
- Build quality assurance and data protection processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Provide support to Operations in ensuring our Product and the Service it provides is robust, resilience and performant
- Support the ongoing goal to recruit people into the team that are a strong cultural fit with relevant technical skills
- Ensure that the delivery team maintains appropriate levels of documentation to ensure efficient onboarding of new team members.
Skills we’re looking for
Experience
- Strong experience in team leadership, leading a high performing team and building a unified cross functional team across a common shared purpose
- Significant experience with complex change projects and transformation
- Demonstrable experience in senior technical leadership, with direct experience across a range of technical functional disciplines
- Experience leading the Product function and building successful roadmaps
- A background in software development, demonstrated by experience of providing technical leadership and support to experienced developers
- The ability to quickly evaluate and effectively work with new technologies
- The ability to maintain a strong knowledge of the latest languages, tools, frameworks and paradigms within the industry and experience of championing the adoption of emerging technologies
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to provide justifications for technical and product roadmap activities
- Strong business acumen the ability to identify and recommend product enhancements
- Experience of working in agile/scrum environments and a good understanding of continuous delivery practices
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with peers throughout the business and actively participate and lead in relevant communities of interest within the business
- Excellent organizational skills
