  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Malayan Fish Oil (www.malayanfishoil.com) is a fish oil refinery based in PKFZ Westport. Among the processes in our factory include degumming, neutralisation and esterification. We have our own inhouse lab with GC machine, oven, and other specialised equipment, to test EPA/DHA values, anisidine, iodine, peroxide value, and moisture.

We require aspiring chemical engineering students, especially those who want to work on process engineering and those who want to work on laboratory analysis. All interns will be guided. Some of the typical duties and responsibilities include:

  • Analysing and monitoring our processes to minimise waste and increase the quality of finished products.
  • Conduct daily laboratory reports for tests conducted and their results.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
  • Design, plan and implement the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
  • Staying up to date with new and emerging manufacturing and chemical-related processes

The company shall also be willing to cover accomodation costs (rental) for the interns.
Only interns interested to work in a production environment in a factory in Westport need apply.

Job Type: Internship

Pay: RM400.00 - RM1,000.00 per month

Schedule:
