PURPOSE OF ROLE:
- Provide support in area of Corporate Governance and various national standards activities.
OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:
- To protect the best interests of the company to minimise the risk exposure by ensuring the company's operations align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To undertake the full understanding of a country e payment regulations, industry standard and best practise.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and standards related to e-payments (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)).
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with e-payment systems, including fraud, cyber threats, and operational vulnerabilities and assist in developing and implementing risk control frameworks and ensure their integration into business processes.
- Assist in the drafting, updating, and enforcing compliance policies and procedures and communicating with staff on compliance requirement to ensure adherence.
- Maintain up to date records and responsible for the statutory submission of periodic report based on the local requirements.
- Review and identify of potential legal, financial or operational risks in the contracts or agreement with the customers and suppliers of the company.
- Ensure that contract terms comply with local applicable laws, industry standards, and internal policies and highlight the contractual obligations and their implications for the company to the contract term
- Develop and maintain standard templates for recurring contract types to streamline processes while safeguarding company interests.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Social Science, Psychology, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Familiar with e-payment systems, fintech regulations, and risk management practices.
- At least 3 years of working experience.
- Possess good initiative to understand the compliance and the statutory requirements of each country.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
