Role Purpose
Responsible to manage, administer and monitor the station's performance in accordance to the Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) as determined by Regional Head. Under the leadership provided by Regional Head, to ensure safe, secure and cost-effective airport and cargo operations for the stations within the region. Achieve regulatory compliance, operational efficient and 5-star customer service. Liaise with the Station Heads, local Airport Handling Agents, Airport Authorities and all Government Agencies in-order to ensure ground handling, customer service and cargo service standards at the regions are meet at all times.
Key Accountability
- Administer and monitor station within region control is in conformity to Malaysia's Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR 2016) and Local Authorities regulations pertaining to occupational health, operational safety and environment laws applicable to Malaysia Airlines (MAB), customer airlines and also the service providers.
- Track and monitor all stations within regions:
a) Have all the mandatory and regulatory manuals and they are accessible and updated at all times.
b) Ensure validity of training records at all times.
c) Ensure stations have adequate staff with valid certificates to certify load sheets for Malaysia Airlines aircrafts.
d) Track and monitor submission of conduct manual load sheet by all certified load controllers at least once a month and maintain its record for an audit purpose.
- Liaise with Station Heads at respective stations to ensure smooth handling of Malaysia Airlines (MAB) passengers, aircraft and cargo. Conduct periodical audits on ground handling agent's performances as per agreed timeline and on cargo operations to ensure full compliance to all regulatory requirements.
- Establish and implement monitoring and tracking mechanism on stations KPI to ensure highest possible quality of service , meet or exceed corporate target on OTP and customer satisfaction. Ensure that all information and/or circulars received from Head Office or from other sources are disseminated to staff and ground handling agents as well as cargo agents at your region with a record of acknowledgement by staff and handling agents.
- Manage and monitor safety and security implementation plan at international stations to ensure compliance to the safety requirements and organisational procedures, accurate reporting and recording of information.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in any field of study with minimum 2 years' working experience in aviation industry.
- High School certificate or equivalent/Diploma in any field of study with minimum 7 years' working experience in aviation industry.
Skills & Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of Airport Services functions and key activities including technical and operational related matters.
- Ability to analyse and interpret codes and information and use information to maximise when planning, organising and supervising the work of others and setting priorities.
- Ability to work with the team, senior management and stakeholders as required and making effective decisions to maintain operational standard, commercial performance and customer satisfactions.
- Able to manage and monitor performance against standards and, investigating and addressing poor performance, anticipating future trends and adapting products and procedures to ensure consistent overall performance.
