Job Description
Responsible to grow sales in designated territory uncovering new accounts and recovering dormant accounts
- Job Summary:The Territory Sales Engineer will provide pre-sales support to customers in order to maximize opportunities for Cognex sales through demonstrations of products, application knowledge, and providing product information such as pricing and availability. The TSE will also assist post-sale by training customers on how to integrate Cognex products into their systems and processes. This role requires approximately 30% travel to nearby states.
- Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in finding the best solution for their application by conducting product demonstrations and discussions on technology and business solutions.
- Develop relationships with key decision makers and influencers at customer sites.
- Conduct detailed discussions on application requirements, process flows, product designs, installation considerations and integration issues.
- Provide feedback to marketing on competitive strengths/weaknesses and product feature requests.
- Provide technical assistance to Systems Integrators and OEMs.
- Train customers on how to integrate Cognex products into their systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot customer applications and provide resolution recommendations.
- Prepare proposals and quotations for complete systems or components based on customer specifications.
- Review and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers and partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Mechatronics preferred).
- Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply but experience working with automated equipment and robotics will be a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills including written and verbal English.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 30%).
- Fluent local language skills (english/bahasa/mandarin) are highly desirable as well.
