Job Summary:
The QC Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of construction materials, workmanship, and final project deliverables on construction sites. This includes conducting inspections, monitoring processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction processes and materials meet the project's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control procedures. Prepare daily and weekly reports on quality control activities and provide updates to the QC Manager or Project Manager.
  • Material Testing: Supervise and coordinate the testing of construction materials, including concrete, steel, and other construction materials, ensuring they comply with the required standards.
  • Identify Non-Conformance: Detect any non-conformities during construction and collaborate with the project team to take corrective actions.
  • Compliance with Standards: Ensure adherence to national and international construction standards, local regulations, and client-specific requirements.
  • Support to Project Teams: Work closely with the project management and site teams to address quality-related issues and provide guidance to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Quality Procedures Implementation: Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality control procedures and processes for the construction project.
  • Coordination with Subcontractors: Ensure subcontractors comply with the quality standards set by the company and the project.
  • Audits and Reviews: Participate in internal and external audits to ensure quality standards and regulations are being met throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Control Engineer in construction projects, with a strong understanding of construction practices, materials, and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards, testing methods, and inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with construction-related regulations, standards, and codes (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ACI).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with quality management software.

Pay: RM2,061.39 - RM5,067.16 per month
