As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that quality is meticulously controlled throughout our processes. You will swiftly address customer quality issues and meet specific end-customer requirements while striving for excellence in achieving goals aligned with the Molex Quality Policy. Your expertise will be critical in analyzing internal and external data to identify areas for improvement and lead projects focused on continual enhancement of our quality systems.

Our Team

This role reports to the Principal Engineer, Quality, and involves collaboration with internal contacts like QA Technicians, Inspectors, and Production Staff, as well as external contacts including suppliers and customers. Our team is dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards and supporting our colleagues across all operations.

The working location is at Gelang Patah, Johor.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure that quality is meticulously controlled across all processes.
  • Resolve customer quality issues swiftly, ensuring specific end-customer requirements are met.
  • Strive for excellence by achieving goals aligned with the Molex Quality Policy.
  • Analyze internal and external data to identify areas for improvement and lead projects focused on continual enhancement.
  • Ensure quality functions are implemented and established in subprocess flows.
  • Initiate quality-driven projects for continual improvement and deploy strategic plans for suppliers.
  • Facilitate quality management system (QMS) audit plans, product safety compliance, and measurement system analysis (MSA) control in accordance with policy requirements.
  • Conduct tool qualifications and first article measurements/qualifications for new or transferred products.
  • Prepare and maintain setup checklists, workmanship standards, and records for incoming processes and finished goods.
  • Manage supplier component quality performance, provide dispositions, and solve problems by providing technical expertise and leadership.
  • Train operators and inspectors to maintain quality standards and procedures.
  • Perform continuous improvement tasks, including statistical process control (SPC) analysis and ad-hoc projects.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Major in Electrical and Electronic field or a Diploma above.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to facilitate problem-solving and drive change.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and training.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • ISO Qualified Auditor.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Quality Notification (QN) data analysis, and SPC techniques.
  • Experience with statistical tools such as Minitab, AutoCAD, or 3D modeling, and SAP.
  • Experience in ISO/process auditing.
  • Knowledge of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) or technical drawing understanding, leadership experience, statistics knowledge, and QMS/ESD auditing experience.
