Job Summary
Financing and Securities Services (“FSS”) is a product division within Financial Markets (“FM”) offering two distinct product sets - Custody and Fund Services, and Prime and Financing Services.
This a role within Financing & Securities Services Operations FSS responsible for operational activities tagged under Settlements product set.
The primary focus is to
(i) Ensure smooth running of Settlement Services Operations across Global Business Services (“GBS”) hubs in support of onshore countries.
(ii) Setting and adherence to standards for Risk & Control, and service delivery for Custody Services GBS footprints.
(iii) Create synergies and create cross functional collaboration across GBS locations.
(iv) Lead and leverage Transformation Initiatives in line with Business Objectives.
(v) Assess right shoring of Custody Settlements cross footprints and standardize offering at Hubs to support business growth.
(vi) Work closely with Global Heads and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy*
Process Standardization: Define and drive Custody & Clearing Operations Strategy to streamline processes, enhance productivity, reduce risk, improve controls, leveraging technologies.
Risk & control: Deliver a robust control environment which mitigates the risk of loss and safeguards the Banks assets.
Ops Efficiency: Identify process areas in GBS (and countries) to automate, eliminate leading to optimization of end-to-end flows.
Compliance: Drive consistency across processes, governance, and risk controls ensuring compliance to policies
Risk & control: Deliver a robust control environment which mitigates the risk of loss and safeguards the Banks assets.
Ops Efficiency: Identify process areas in GBS (and countries) to automate, eliminate leading to optimization of end-to-end flows.
Compliance: Drive consistency across processes, governance, and risk controls ensuring compliance to policies
Business*
Service Delivery: Ensure key services are being performed to the standard required.
Client Centric Focus: Monitors client service standards by Operations staff to ensure high quality operational and client support services.
Escalations: Acts as escalation point for operational issues – identify remedial solutions and oversees timely, efficient implementation when required.
Stakeholder Relationship: Works closely with country heads to ensure operational platforms support client service level agreements and internal benchmarks.
Resource Management: Proactively works with country heads to ensure development of pool of knowledgeable and fungible operations staff.
Identify and prioritise opportunities with higher RoTe and profitability for the team’s pursuit.
Champion the identification and implementation of operational best practice across markets inter/intra regions.
Processes*
Adhere to Policies: Ensures compliance with group and country policies, code of conduct, regulations and laws.
Stakeholder Management: Work with country heads to support group and corporate requests in controlled and timely fashion.
KRIs: Review appropriate EORP, Audit, KCSA and CST issues raised to ensure quality and accuracy of wording, action and delivery dates; track and drive critical deliverables.
Recon governance: Review, amend and closure of risk, audit and outstanding breaks in line with OKR targets.
Change Management: Ensures change management processes are adhered to in country operations working through the Custody & Clearing country heads.
Operational issues Management: Updates global management in a timely manner on notable operational developments and issues in the region and drives the resolution of thematic client issues and process issues.
Communication & Collaboration: Role model a strong, collaborative business relationship between country operations and GBS locations. Maintain strong lines of communication with hubs through periodic townhall meetings.
Stakeholder Management: Work with country heads to support group and corporate requests in controlled and timely fashion.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- Min 10-15 years of experience within Securities Services industry. Understands Securities Services products, processes, and key associated risks.
- Strong operations practitioner with proven record of leading diverse and large teams.
- Strong communication skills verbal and written.
- Experience in Business Manager, Business support, Project manager, programme manager is required.
- Business Strategy & commercial Acumen :- Offshoring initiatives, New business & clients, Location strategy, cost & headcount management.
- Guide & Drive various strategic initiatives. Ie Business case, projects, risk management & etc.
- Data analytics, ability to collate, translate and present data to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Ability to produce presentation decks with quality & data.
- Critical, analytical & strategic thinking ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills – engagement, relationship management & experience in managing senior stake holders.
