Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review financial statements (Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Manage the finance team, including Accounts Manager (AM), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and cost control.
- Monitor company cash flow to ensure sufficient working capital and optimize fund utilization.
- Develop cash flow budgets and working capital plans to maintain financial stability.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget execution, analyze variances and recommend adjustments.
- Provide financial analysis reports to support strategic decisions such as cost optimization, investment analysis, and profit growth strategies.
- Forecast future financial trends and develop financial planning and growth strategies.
- Develop tax planning strategies to optimize tax structure, reduce tax burdens, and mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure financial records comply with audit requirements and support annual audits and financial compliance reviews.
- Manage and mentor finance team members to ensure effective collaboration and continuous professional development.
- Train and develop the finance team to improve financial management efficiency and reduce human errors.
- Provide financial advice to top management to support business growth and market expansion.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, and mergers & acquisitions through financial feasibility analysis
- Participate in company growth strategy planning, optimize financial structures, and enhance profitability.
Job Requirement:
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and/or professional qualification in ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent.
- Must be a member of MIA or a relevant professional body.
- Minimum 5-8 years of financial experience, preferably in SME business models; Senior-level candidates should have over 10 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in the Malaysian financial landscape is advantageous.
- Must be a hands-on person and able to provide leadership and guidance to the supporting team.
- Able to multi-task, handle ad-hoc duties and meet deadlines.
