Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvements in processes, products, and equipment.
- Guide and train Production Improvement (PI) teams, and act as a bridge to the Manufacturing Excellence team.
- Develop training materials and deliver sessions to support implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Assess team competencies and plan training to close skill gaps.
- Promote data-driven decision-making and use of proper tools and digital systems.
- Standardize improvement approaches across teams and ensure effective data management.
- Support the plant in achieving Manufacturing Excellence by minimizing performance gaps.
- Take part in the Manufacturing Excellence 360 (ME360) assessment process.
- Coordinate cost-saving projects (3K) within the production area.
- Assist with global and regional initiatives such as CCP PVB, TOCR, and SMED.
- Support the launch of new products and processes (NMI/NPI) and ensure they follow standard procedures.
- Help identify production needs and assist in developing new products or process improvements.
- Contribute to setting production specifications for new investments according to global standards.
- Collaborate in accepting new or improved equipment to ensure they meet production specs.
- Support R&D, technology testing, and digital transformation (DX) projects at the plant.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience in Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), strong data-driven and analytical skills.
- Passionate about improvement and sustainability.
- Preferably 4–5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the automotive industry.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
- Willing to travel frequently.
