Job Description & Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced D365 F&O SCM Functional Lead to join our team for a key project in Tokyo. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of D365 F&O (Finance & Operations) with a focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM), particularly in Warehouse Management (WM) and Advanced Warehousing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • D365 F&O Implementation: Over 8 years of experience in successfully implementing D365 F&O, with expertise in the SCM modules.
  • SCM Modules Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Purchase Order (PO), Inventory (Inv), Sales & Marketing, and Advanced Warehouse modules.
  • Inventory & Production Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Inventory management, Costing, and Production processes within SCM systems.
  • Process Evaluation & Improvement: Proven ability to evaluate SCM processes, identify inefficiencies, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Advanced Warehousing: Hands-on experience working with Advanced Warehousing functionality in D365 F&O.
  • Data Migration: Proficiency in managing data migration tasks, ensuring accurate and seamless transfer of data between systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical teams to define requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • End-to-End Implementation: Lead and manage all phases of D365 F&O SCM implementation, including requirement gathering, CRP (Conference Room Pilot), training, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), Go-Live, and post-implementation support.
  • Customer-Facing Skills: Excellent communication skills, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure project success and alignment.
  • Training & UAT Leadership: Proven experience leading and facilitating training and UAT phases, ensuring successful user adoption and system validation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of SCM Functional Consultants, ensuring collaboration, productivity, and alignment with project goals.
  • Documentation Preparation: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation such as Functional Design Documents (FDD), Fit-Gap Analysis, and Training Guides.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Language Proficiency: Must have JLPT N1 or higher proficiency, with full ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in Japanese.
  • Customer Location: Must be willing to work on-site at the customer location in Tokyo, Japan.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in implementing D365 F&O SCM modules, particularly PO, Inventory, Sales & Marketing, and Advanced Warehousing.
  • SCM Expertise: Strong knowledge of Inventory management, Costing, and Production within D365 F&O.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership experience in managing teams and overseeing the full implementation lifecycle.
  • Language Skills: JLPT N1 or higher, with proficiency in Japanese (both spoken and written).
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
