The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the safe handling and storage of chemical products, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, optimizes warehouse space, and coordinates shipments to meet production and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and segregation of chemicals according to regulatory requirements.

Shipping & Receiving:

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and SDS (Safety Data Sheets) when applicable.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Organize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Implement and enforce 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principles.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and report any hazards.

Team Coordination:

  • Work closely with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Train warehouse staff on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving warehouse-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehouse management preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling, storage regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 10kg - 20kg and work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to chemical manufacturing environments with adherence to PPE requirements.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
