MAHSA International School is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and passionate Temporary Chemistry Teacher to join our Secondary School faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Chemistry within the IGCSE and A-Level curriculum, with a proven ability to engage students and foster academic excellence.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons for both IGCSE and A-Level students.
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to cater to a range of student abilities and learning styles.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance student understanding.
- Foster a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
Assessment & Feedback
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments in line with IGCSE and A-Level standards.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents.
Student Support & Development
- Offer additional academic support to students through one-on-one or small group sessions.
- Inspire and motivate students to reach their full academic potential.
- Create an inclusive classroom culture that supports diverse learners.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a disciplined and positive classroom environment with clear expectations.
- Address academic and behavioral concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaboration & Professional Growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons and school-wide activities.
- Participate actively in professional development workshops and training sessions.
Extracurricular Involvement
- Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs and events, particularly in science-related activities.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field. Teaching qualifications are preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years teaching Chemistry at the Secondary level.
- Must have experience teaching in an international school setting.
- Experience with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level syllabus is essential.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in integrating technology into teaching is an advantage.
- Other: Demonstrated passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
