
Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and systems are functioning efficiently and reliably. This role involves supervising a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, performing troubleshooting, and ensuring the facility complies with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Supervision & Management: Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure effective maintenance activities. Schedule, assign, and monitor maintenance work to ensure completion on time and within budget. Evaluate team performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews. Ensure that all maintenance team members follow safety protocols and best practices.
2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Oversee the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and maximize reliability. Manage corrective maintenance efforts, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and system failures promptly. Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure that equipment is restored to operation as quickly as possible.
3. Equipment & Systems Management: Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment to identify areas for improvement and ensure efficient operation. Ensure proper calibration, servicing, and operation of all machinery, systems, and associated equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
4. Inventory and Resource Management: Maintain inventory levels for spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities. Work with procurement to order parts and supplies needed for repairs or upgrades. Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and controlling costs.
5. Safety and Compliance: Enforce compliance with workplace safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility, equipment, and machinery. Lead safety training programs for maintenance staff to ensure the team is knowledgeable about safe work practices.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment repairs, and maintenance logs. Provide detailed reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and budget status to senior management. Ensure that maintenance logs are up-to-date for auditing and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).Alternatively, an associate degree with relevant experience in maintenance supervision. Injection Moulding Technical Knowledge & People Handling Skill
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and scheduling tools. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as experience with manufacturing equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, HVAC). Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a team and handle complex maintenance issues. Solid understanding of safety regulations and environmental laws. Proficient in using maintenance tools and machinery, as well as troubleshooting techniques. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or overtime when needed. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. Ability to interact with cross-functional teams to address maintenance challenges.
