Job Scope /Responsibilities: • To perform sales calls or visits, promote and sell company services (i.e. Trucking, Warehousing, Forwarding, etc.) to potential clients and update existing clients on latest developments. • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships. • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements and screen potential business deals by doing these initiatives. • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations. • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations. • Monitor competitors’ activities and pricing structures through periodicals, business updates, and clients’ feedback to protect company’s market share and identify areas where the company can enhance better quality service. • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential. • Maintain accurate, current and complete customer and sales data and update regularly. • Participate in development and implement rates and tariffs, and ensure that rates quoted and submitted for bidding to clients are competitive yet profitable in order to close the sale. • Developing and maintaining technical documentation such as manuals and training materials. • To undertake other jobs assigned by superiors as required from time to time. Requirements: • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent; • At least 3-5 year(s) of relevant experience in the shipping/logistics industry, preferably from a freight forwarder environment. • Demonstrate customer service focus, sales orientation, and good selling skills. • Proactive, self-starter, self-management, organized, hardworking, result-oriented, and customer-oriented. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to do presentations and write in English. • Committed, trustworthy, reliable, disciplined, able to adapt and work in a challenging business environment. • Able to work independently, multitask, and work under pressure with minimum supervision. • Possess own transport.
