Position Summary: The AV Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment used for meetings, conferences, events, and daily operations. This includes sound systems, lighting, video recording, projection, video conferencing equipment, and computers. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate audio, video, and lighting equipment for events, meetings, and daily operations. Conduct pre-event testing to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Provide on-site support during events for troubleshooting and adjustments as needed. Maintain, inspect, clean, and store AV equipment after use. Collaborate with event coordinators, IT teams, and clients to understand AV requirements. Install new AV equipment and perform routine system updates and upgrades. Keep accurate inventory and maintenance records of all AV equipment. Assist with basic IT support tasks if required (e.g., connecting laptops to projectors). Stay updated with new AV technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements. Follow safety procedures and company standards during installation and operation. Requirements: Education : Diploma or Certificate in Audiovisual Technology, Electronics, IT, or related field. Experience : Minimum 1-2 years of experience in AV setup and operations, preferably in hospitality, events, or corporate settings. Skills: Strong technical knowledge of sound, video, lighting, and conferencing systems. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy AV equipment.
