JOB SUMMARY
The role holder is responsible for overseeing the operations of the campus bookshop and managing student transportation services.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily sales activities within the campus bookshop.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for the bookshop, including the preparation of daily and monthly transaction reports for submission to the reporting supervisor.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure the bookshop is adequately stocked.
  • Perform stock readjustments and update stock entries in the bookshop system when necessary.
  • Coordinate bookshop stock and activities with other campus functions.
  • Monitor and manage incoming customer orders via the system, where applicable.
  • Prepare customer orders for delivery or collection.
  • Assist walk-in customers with their purchases and respond to inquiries.
  • Oversee the student transport application, providing parents with real-time updates such as student boarding times and current bus locations.
  • Communicate with the campus and parents regarding delays caused by traffic, accidents, or adverse road conditions.
  • Ensure student safety during morning arrivals and afternoon dismissals.
  • Manage and resolve complaints or feedback related to transportation.
  • Serve as the liaison between the campus and transport vendors, working closely with them to resolve any issues.
  • Prepare regular updates and reports on transportation matters, including cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with transport supervisors to manage bus logistics.
  • Investigate any bus-related incidents or accidents, prepare reports, and follow up as necessary.
  • Organize transport arrangements for ad-hoc events and field trips, and verify corresponding invoices.
  • Collaborate with the wider operations team and the campus to develop and manage a transportation program that aligns with student needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in retail, bookshop operations, or customer service is advantageous.
  • Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
