Key Responsibilities: 1. Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects during the tendering phase, including material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. 2. Ensure adherence to standards, financial regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying. 3. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle. 4. Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality. 5. Prepare, review, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements. 6. Conduct site measurements and valuations of work completed, prepared for monthly payment applications and valuations. 7. Prepare regular reports on project financials, highlighting variances, forecasting final project costs, and providing recommendations for cost control. 8. Assess and quantify changes to the project scope, drafting variation orders and ensuring proper documentation. 9. Identify potential financial risks and advise on strategies to mitigate them, ensuring financial stability throughout project execution. 10. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination on project costs. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. 2. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. 3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
