Job Summary:
The Packaging Department Machine Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery and equipment. This role ensures that all packaging operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all packaging machinery to ensure production efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with production staff to optimize machine performance and output.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, and operational data.
  • Assist in the setup and changeover of machines for different packaging runs.
  • Train and support other staff members in the proper use of packaging machinery and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with packaging machinery, controls, and automation processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
