Responsibilities * Design and implements technical production processes to ensure the plant is commissioned to meet product specification, budget and time schedules. * Ensures that the installation continues to perform to its designed capacity and, in the event of deviation from standard, ensures corrective actions is undertaken. * Conducts studies regarding cost containment and maximum utilization. * Design systems or machines which cater to the plant requirement in terms of productivity, cost savings and practicality. * Select cost effective material and components & place order timely. * To continuously review, update, take proactive actions of the development of the design & progress made and stay ahead of the schedule. * To develop & improve the design; system; machine; design standard & drawing standards. * To carry out plant trouble shoot on any engineering failure including verify and validation of contractor work before acceptance. * To maintain list of engineering assets. * Ensure licensing and permit is valid (eg. PMA, PMT). * To ensure daily, weekly, monthly and yearly periodic / preventive maintenance works as per maintenance procedures and schedules. * To ensure optimal performance, maintain and advise on safety condition of machinery, plant and equipment. * Ensure environmental and safety checking criteria are incorporate in the maintenance and repair check list. * Manage and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders. * Provide recommended to management on current commitment and further need of engineering technology. * Upgrade or modified existing engineering process and machinery to support recovery and ESH requirement. * Any other assignment that may be assigned by the Superior / Management. Requirements - Candidates must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification with at least 3 – 4 years of working experience in Mechnical Design and Project Management. - In-depth knowledge of engineering, building, construction and design. - Knowledge in AutoCAS / Solidworks / PLC system will be an added advantage. - Proficient in both written and oral in Mandarin, English and Bahasa. - Motivated, willing to learn, hardworking, result-oriented and a team player. - Able to start work immediately will be an added advantage. - Applicants must be willing to work in Tangkak.
