Main Responsibilities · Provide end-to-end services and advice to international students regarding student pass processes, including: Airport clearance and arrival management. Passport matters. Visa endorsements, transfers of endorsement, variations, extensions/renewals, and cancellations. Manage student pass/visa applications via the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and the Immigration Department of Malaysia. · Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia and EMGS. · Keep international students informed about updates and requirements related to student passes/visas as specified by regulatory bodies. · Provide ongoing advice and support to ensure the wellbeing of international students throughout their study period. · Act as a liaison between faculties and the International Student Office (ISO) to monitor international student attendance and compile/report requirements in compliance with Immigration, KDN, and MOHE guidelines. · Manage the safekeeping and accurate recording of passports and visa details. · Maintain and update the student database, including details on student arrivals. · Organize and conduct engagement sessions for international students, covering topics such as: Induction/orientation. Student visa FAQs and other essential information. Monitoring and Academic Support Monitor the academic progress of international students. · Provide consultation and support to students with high absenteeism or poor academic performance. · Collaborate with relevant departments or faculties to address unique issues related to student welfare and campus experiences. · Support the activities and engagement of the University’s International Student Society. · Serve as the primary contact for international students seeking assistance. · Prepare monthly international stock take reports and develop remedial actions with relevant departments to address student issues. · Manage airport pick-up services and clearance for new international students. · Exhibit a passion for cultural diversity and effectively engage with students from various nationalities. · Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department. Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in international relations, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in handling international student affairs, immigration processes, or student services in a higher education environment. Experience liaising with EMGS and the Immigration Department of Malaysia is highly desirable.
