Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and qualified Lecturer to join our esteemed academic team. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, with a strong background in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Key Responsibilities: 1. Academic Teaching & Curriculum Delivery - Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in accordance with the approved syllabus and learning outcomes. - Integrate technology-enhanced teaching strategies and active learning methods to enhance student engagement and performance. - Prepare course materials, including lesson plans, slides, assessments, and learning resources. 2. Curriculum Development & Academic Planning - Lead and contribute to curriculum design, review, and enhancement processes in line with industry trends, MQA standards, and institutional goals. - Develop new modules and academic programmes aligned with technological advancements and employability needs. - Participate in academic benchmarking exercises and continuous programme improvement initiatives. 3. Postgraduate Supervision - Supervise Master's and PhD students in their research projects, theses, and dissertations. - Provide academic mentorship, monitor research progress, and support students in achieving timely and high-quality research outcomes. 4. Research & Scholarly Activities - Conduct independent and collaborative research leading to publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals (Scopus/WoS indexed). - Secure external/internal research grants and participate in funded research projects. - Present research findings at national and international conferences, seminars, and academic forums. - Collaborate with industry, government agencies, or other academic institutions on interdisciplinary research. 5. Academic Leadership & Quality Assurance - Serve in academic committees and task forces related to teaching and learning, curriculum innovation, and quality assurance. - Assist in preparing accreditation documents and participating in programme audits by MQA and other regulatory bodies. - Contribute to the development of academic policies and strategic initiatives within the faculty or school. 6. Student Engagement & Academic Advising - Provide academic counselling and mentoring support to students, addressing their academic performance, career pathways, and personal development. - Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student success. 7. Professional & Community Engagement - Actively participate in community engagement projects, industry consultations, and professional bodies related to IT and higher education. - Engage in knowledge transfer programmes, consultancy work, or innovation projects to strengthen university–industry linkage. 8. Lifelong Learning & Professional Development - Continuously enhance personal academic qualifications, teaching skills, and research competencies. - Participate in staff development programmes, workshops, conferences, and training relevant to the academic discipline. Requirements: - A PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. - Demonstrated ability to conduct research with published work in indexed journals. - Proficient in English (both written and spoken). - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
