The School of Hospitality and Service Management at Sunway University invites outstanding applicants in the area of Food & Beverage Management and Culinary Arts. Responsibilities This position requires commitments towards teaching, research and scholarly activities, and contribution to programme administration and management. Research: • Conduct and publish high quality journal articles, conference papers and/or other peer reviewed outputs as appropriate to the subject discipline. • Supervise research projects, including Doctoral and/or Master’s students. Teaching: • Design, plan and deliver lectures, tutorials and other teaching and learning activities appropriate to their discipline, and the requirements of the University. • Contribute to the design, development, delivery, review and enhancement of programmes of study within the Department/School. Administration and Management: • Participate in internal and external events, such as open days, outreach activities, and visits to partner institutions and internship placements. • Support and assist colleagues in ensuring the smooth running of the department and programmes. Requirements • Candidates with PhD in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field. • At least 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in the food & beverage or hospitality industry. • Proven ability to deliver both practical and theoretical lessons effectively. • Industry-relevant certifications such as HACCP, WSET for wines, Barista certifications, or other relevant credentials. • Commitment towards continuous professional development.
