Production Engineer

1. Weekly forecasting of Senai capacity loading. This includes backlog and shift pattern. 2. Daily pull meeting with all the related departments. 3. To reply and respond to all the queries and quotations (fax, email etc.) within 24 hours. 4. To improve the line productivity and reduce reject rate. 5. Required new tooling will be e mailed to Technical/Facilities/Process/Production. To purchase if the new tooling is not available. 6. Monitor and follow-up with the storekeeper/assistant to ensure there is no shortage and disruptions to Production. Ensure minimum stock and safety level is always maintained. 7. To enforce safety, environmental and health programs in the plant. 8. To assist and support plant manager to manage production to fulfil the responsibilities and to achieve the Company's Objective. 9. Daily update and monitoring of the system transactions. 10. Monitor manufacturing costs and act as necessary. 11. Daily update of the production progress reports. 12. Communicate with the related departments to ensure progress of the project is closely monitored. 13. Good practice such as weekly monitoring system of backflush report. 14. To ensure the safety stock is effectively managed during the month end cycle count. 15. Identify the system MUV contribution by departments. Consolidate production findings and justifications for monthly MUV report and submit to the Accounts Department. 16. Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities. 17. Undertake special projects as required. 18. Contribute to continuous improvements activities. 19. Support and lead process improvements activities. 20. Attend various meetings and actions/communicate presentations. 21. Produce written reports and make presentations. 22. Undertake continuous training and development. 23. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
