Pest Control Technician

Inspection & Treatment:

  • Conduct thorough inspections at client locations to identify pest activity and assess infestation levels.
  • Identify pest species, such as termites, ants, cockroaches, rodents, mosquitoes, etc., and recommend appropriate treatment methods.
  • Customize pest management plans based on property type (residential, commercial, or industrial).
  • Apply chemical, physical, or biological control methods according to pest type and situation.
  • Follow up on treatment outcomes and conduct secondary or periodic treatments if required.

Customer Service & Communication:

  • Clearly explain service procedures, treatment expectations, and safety guidelines to clients.
  • Respond to client complaints or concerns professionally and propose corrective measures.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate service records detailing date, location, chemicals used, pest type, infestation severity, and treatment methods.
  • Prepare monthly service reports or customized reports for specific clients.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating client files and digital service logs.

Equipment & Chemical Management:

  • Inspect, maintain, and clean pest control equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Strictly follow protocols for hazardous material storage, transport, and usage.

Team Collaboration & Skill Development:

  • Coordinate with the sales team to provide technical advice and clarify treatment plans for potential clients.
  • Participate in internal training programs and work towards obtaining or renewing PCO licenses or other certifications.
  • Share field experience with new technicians and assist in their onboarding and training.

Emergency Response Services:

  • Provide fast and effective pest control services for emergency or outbreak situations.
  • Participate in on-call duty rosters to deliver services during weekends or after hours (e.g., restaurants, hotels).

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum SPM / High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • License: Pest Control Operator (PCO) license preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience: Previous pest control experience is an advantage (training will be provided).
  • Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Fresh graduate are welcome to apply

Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of pest biology and control methods.
  • Ability to safely handle and apply pesticides.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays when needed.
  • No health issues related to chemical exposure or pest sensitivity.
