Role Purpose:

Overall responsible to ensure all statutory permit (Teaching Permit, Annual Practising Certificate (nursing), Annual Practising Certificate (MMC), Temporary Practising Certificate (Dental-MDC), Employment Pass, Dependant Pass are in place and valid.

To provide and continuously improve the expat staff experience in relocating to Malaysia/IMU from the home country or previous workplace, and ensure the existing relocation process is effective.

Job Requirement:

Statutory Compliance

Ensure statutory compliance for all statutory permits are applied and renewed on time.

  • Teaching Permit;
  • Annual Practising Certificate (nursing);
  • Full Registration (MMC);
  • Temporary Practising Certificate (MMC);
  • Annual Practising Certificate (MMC);
  • Annual Practising Certificate (Dental-MDC);
  • Temporary Practising Certificate (Dental-MDC).

Ensure effective data management systems, guidelines and processes are in place and provide assurance of ongoing statutory and regulatory compliance and delivery within budgets.

Employment Pass

  • Responsible for the timely renewals application of employment pass/dependent passes for expatriate and their dependents.
  • Assist expatriate in departure upon completion of employment contract ensuring all work permits (employee and dependent) are cancelled on time.
  • Advise expatriate on visa and any Work Permit related matters.
  • Monitors end to end progress of all applications and ensure expatriate are kept informed on progress throughout the application process.

Expat Management

  • Assist expatriate to secure accommodation upon commencement of work
  • Assimilate expatriates into the local customs and IMU culture
  • Assist expatriates in government agencies, eg. EPF, LHDN, JPJ, etc when necessary.
  • Responsible for leave and home passage of all expatriates.

Others

  • Prepares Reimbursement Claims on a weekly basis within the parameters of procedures for petty cash expenses
  • Responsible for maintaining financial records for allocated COAs on monthly basis
  • Compile and prepare annual budgeting and forecasting for all responsible COAs
  • Building rapport and act as effective liaison officer with government, statutory and other relevant external authorities such as Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), Immigration Department of Malaysia, Malaysian Medical Council (MMC Pharmacy Board Malaysia, Nursing Board Malaysia (NBM), etc.

Job Requirements:

  • A relevant diploma or degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act 1955
  • High level of empathy, responsiveness and relationship orientation
  • High level of maturity and tact to deal with individuals of different personality
  • Discipline to follow through actions plans arising out of interactions with employees
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English 8. Service oriented and passion for excellence
  • IT sawy and literate in MS Office applications
  • A team player that works collaboratively with internal and external parties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
