Job Description

At Fisher Scientific (M) Sdn Bhd, we give you the chance to lead and develop our Sales Teams in Malaysia, contributing to outstanding business growth and success. As a Manager, Sales, you will guide two dynamic teams and play a key role in propelling our sales strategies!

Job Responsibilities

  • Run and develop Sales Team in Malaysia
  • Expand FSM's laboratory supply business in assigned Malaysia territories, covering Key Accounts, Channel Business, Government, Healthcare & Industrial accounts and routine supplies of equipment, consumables, and chemicals.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for direct sales teams, targeting end-user markets.
  • Lead and expand sub-channel partners, planning and marketing specific products
  • Ensure overall business growth by bringing Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions and strategic partnerships with third-party vendors.
  • Align with the main strategies of the company in areas including Key Accounts, Vertical Markets, and Key Products.
  • Achieve Annual Operating Target and profitability for the Sales Team and personal targets.
  • Lead and run projects, ensuring compliance with all documentation, technical requirements, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Validated experience in leading sales teams and developing strategic sales plans.
  • Strong abilities to grow and lead routine laboratory supply businesses.
  • Outstanding skills in developing and driving go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience in handling sub-channel partners and growing channel business.
  • Ability to act as a focal person for division opportunities, working with consultants, end-users, and project management companies.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop alignments with strategic partners to grow the business.
  • Collaborate with Product Management & Marketing to develop product strategies for the region.
  • Work with the Marketing support team to complete effective marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other commercial teams to develop new markets and opportunities.
  • Work with support teams to ensure effective business practices and strategies.
  • Participate with the management team to ensure motivation and implementation of company plans.
  • Ensure active participation in company activities.
  • Ensure all businesses align with company guidelines and government regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Science
  • 10 year working experience in sales and leading sales team
  • Consistent track record of ensuring business growth with strategic partnerships.
  • Results oriented and driven to succeed.
  • Strong commercial competence with the ability to articulate and communicate business opportunities.
  • Ability to translate complex and large amount of information and priorities into implementable strategies and get result.
  • Skilled in establishing relationship and networks across company and divisions, driving alignment, common goals and clear accountabilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritize based on key result areas, to handle time effectively and to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to successfully operate with ambiguity and lead change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to influence and negotiate outcomes successfully
